WG Photo Blog

Ariana and I had been trying to do some rain photos all week. Thanksfully, yesterday, I got out of class very early and she skipped her class and it POURED!! It was awesome and her hot pink bra really stuck out in the images. During one of the photos in just the pink bra, some lucky soul walked out of the business school to see her laying down on the bricks. We had a great time and I think these photos came out pretty well!!

Yesterday, Ben, Mallory & I went down to the river a short while before sunset because Mallory had her first Photo II assignment to complete. The old water treatment plant is just a concrete shell of what it used to be, the path to get there more and more overgrown. But when there just after sunset its like stepping into a different world. The colors change and the camera doesn’t quite keep up with the failing light, but I found it amazing.

Yesterday, while I was photoshoppong all the photos I posted, I got an idea for a self portrait. Mallory let me barrow her tripod and I proceeded to setup all my gear for the photo. This is very close to what I envisioned but I still might be doing some more here soon.

Wow, so this photo shot is a little old just like my Wyonming images. These were taken the week after I got back, but since I always try and put my photos shoots on my blog in the order they were shot, well these got pushed back a little. Erin came over with her friend, Mallory, who just wanted to “watch.” As you can see, Erin talked her into doing a little modeling herself and wearing one of my button down shirts!! This was a lot of fun thanks to some great girls!

And finally here is Day 3 from my Wyonming Trip. This was a very long day but well worth it! Didn’t get much sleep the night before because we got up for sunrise at 5am, then went back to sleep for a few hours before heading out again for late afternoon as well as sunset photos. The “window” themed photos were all taken at the Bar BC ranch, in what used to be the lodge.

 

After much delay, I admit it, here is day 2 from my trip to Wyonming. This was a very long day because we were staying in Jackson Hole, Yellowstone is a bit of a drive. We awoke pretty early that morning and made the trip around the lower loop since time didn’t permit us to see everything. But I feel I got a great overview of what the park had to offer, now I just need to go spend a few months there! 

July 19-23, I had the pleasure of spending in Jackson Hole, WY with a photography friend of mine. We had three solid days of traveling through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and what a great time we had! I had the chance to get into the culture of the area as well, but I choose the see the parks and I don’t regret that decision one bit. I have seen a lot of the United States and that is by far one of the most beautiful places I have laid eyes on. This post is a selection of my favorite images from the first day where we traveled all throughout the Grand Tetons. There will be two more posts to follow so be sure to check back soon!!
