A Beauty Behind Downtown
Author: wg photog

Last week, Mallory and I headed out to downtown Milledgeville for some more modeling type shots. We went to the area behind downtown because I think there are a lot of great locations there for these photos. The only problems was being behind the local pool hall/ white trash hangout area, so we had a lot of guys coming out of every door admiring how beautiful Mallory is. This wasn’t a big deal a first, but after she started always smiling because of all the men standing behind be staring and drooling all over themselves, I had to put a stop to it. Thankfully they listened and left us alone for most of the remainder of the shoot. Hope you guys like what you see and comments/critiques are always welcome!

Two weeks ago, during the very beginning of my spring break, I went to Lookout Mountain with some guys I havn’t gone to take photos with in years. Dennis, Corey, and Danny were a few of the very first people to help get me started in photography back almost five years now. The three of us had not been out together on a “photo safari” in years and it was really nice to just relax with some old friends and go take some photos. It has been a very long time. Thanks again to the three of you for making this a great day and I hope you guys like the photos; now you just have to show me yours!

So two of The Avett Brothers shows in a row was surely a great way to start off my spring break and the second night at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, Ga was a show I will never forget. I have been to many show in my day and it has been a while since I have seen one with as much energy as this one. The Brothers put everything they have into their shows and this show was no slouch! Usually when I am taking photos of bands, I forget about my ears and concentrate solely on the visual aspects of the show, but this one was too hard to not hear. I kept having to remind myself to take pictures and once I had most of the angles, I sat behind the sound board with Justin and just enjoyed the show. Check out this slideshow!

Two Sundays ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Rising Appalachia’s CD Release Party at Eyedrum in Atlanta and what a party it was! It was pretty amazing; they had a juggler on a unicycle, trapeze artists, spoken word artists, lots of art on the walls, fire twirling, and lots more. It was a great night for the release of their new CD titled: Scale Down. I recommend everyone to check out this CD, it has 5 of my images in it from the recording sessions and my buddys Justin and Taylor did a great job recording it!
